Popular Japanese cheesecake maker Uncle Tetsu has opened a new Toronto location in an unexpected place.

There’s now a new location of Uncle Tetsu at a TTC subway station, making it easier than ever to grab a quick treat.

Uncle Tetsu is known for their puffy, fluffy, jiggly Japanese cheesecake as well as their other treats.

The brand originated in Japan, and now they make cheesecakes in flavours like matcha and chocolate as well as limited edition flavours like coffee and yuzu. They also make other items like cheese tarts, madeleines, cookies, rusk and bouncy “angel hat” desserts, and sell drinks to sip on as well.

They already have locations in and around Toronto on Bay Street and at Scarborough Town Centre, Pacific Mall, Hillcrest Mall, Square One and Vaughan Mills. Uncle Tetsu also recently opened another new Toronto location in North York.

It’s not the first Uncle Tetsu at a transit hub: there’s also one at busy Union Station for commuters coming and going from and within Toronto.

Uncle Tetsu is now open at Dundas station.
