One of the biggest international clothing brands is continuing to expand with a brand new location at CF Sherway Gardens in Etobicoke.
UNIQLO’s new store, spanning over 13,000 sq. ft, will officially open at the popular shopping centre on Friday, Nov. 1 at 10 a.m.
But it pays to be early – the first 100 shoppers in line at 9:15 a.m. will get a $10 gift card, as well as free coffee from Two Bears Coffee and donuts from San Remo Bakery for the first 300 shoppers!
Early shoppers can also enjoy a live Japanese taiko drum performance at 9:35 a.m. and watch the ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:55 a.m.
Throughout the grand opening weekend, customers who feel lucky can spin the Garapon Wheel for a chance to win exciting prizes: UNIQLO branded Kinto water bottles, Pocky snacks, Oi Ocha Green Tea, and $100 UNIQLO Gift Cards.
The new store will continue to offer the brand’s iconic clothing for men, women, and children, such as the Ultra-Light Down jackets (warm, packable jackets perfect for layering or travel) and their signature HEATTECH products, made of an innovative fabric that uses the moisture on your skin to generate heat.
Exclusive to the new location is the “Sherway Gardens” series of UTMe! t-shirts and totes, designed in collaboration by local artists as a tribute to the shopping centre and its surrounding community in Etobicoke.
The UTMe! collection is in partnership with San Remo Bakery and Toronto artist Tanya Mu, a self-taught foodie watercolor artist who draws inspiration from her Sichuan heritage to create vibrant food paintings.
Other popular products at UNIQLO include the quilted round shoulder bag (moon bag), seamless down parkas, HEATTECH crew necks, and the fluffy fleece jacket, perfect for keeping you warm during the chilly autumn and winter while still being flexible enough to move around freely in.
The store also provides free hemming for any pair of pants $20 or above (excluding athletic wear and sweatpants), and complementary in-store pick-up for orders made from their online store, which offers a full variety of products, styles, colours, and even extended sizes that are not available in-store.
This is UNIQLO’s fifth store in Toronto and their 28th in Canada overall. Originally founded in Yamaguchi, Japan in 1949 as a textiles manufacturer, their success has propelled them to now operating over 2,400 stores around the world.
The store opens on Friday, Nov. 1 with loads of special goodies for those who get there early at 9:15 a.m., so save the date!
