Viral music sensation to kick off this year’s Niagara grape and wine party

Wine country is heating up this summer, with the Niagara Grape & Wine TD Tailgate Party set to take place.
While the usual amenities will be available, such as an in-depth look at wines from 25 different wineries, this year, there will be a little more in the way of entertainment, as viral musician Lucas Mason will be kicking off the event.
According to an official press release, Mason will be performing with country music star Zach Bryan, the same artist who recently invited Mason to play alongside him, catapulting him into viral stardom.
“The TD Tailgate Party celebrates Niagara’s homegrown wines and foods, and this year, we’re thrilled to showcase some of Niagara’s freshest country music talent, too! When we saw Lucas Mason performing with Zach Bryan, we instantly knew he would be a perfect fit for our TD Tailgate Party,” said Dorian Anderson, the festival’s executive director.
Beyond wine tastings, the event will feature a wide selection of local cuisine via food trucks and numerous chef stations.
As for how the recently discovered Mason feels about kicking off one of Niagra Region’s biggest festivals, he stated in an official release, “Getting to play for a crowd of 1500 at this year’s TD Tailgate Party is really exciting! I’m busy working on my set list and can’t wait to share some of my very favourite country songs.”
The event is slated to take place on Saturday, June 22, at Peller Estates (290 John St. E.) in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
