WEEKEND WEATHER: Thunderstorm risk and heavy rain forecast in Toronto

Warm temperatures could produce thunderstorms this weekend in Toronto.
The “significant weather outlook for Saturday and Sunday,” includes heavy rain and strong wind gusts for the GTA on Saturday and Sunday, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.
Friday’s sunny skies will change overnight and clouds start to move in Saturday morning.
There is a 40 per cent chance of showers Saturday afternoon with a risk of a thunderstorm, Environment Canada says. Strong winds could move in late in the morning.
It will be warm with a high of 17 C expected and a low of 10 C in the evening.
Heavy rain starts overnight with up to four mm falling, according to the Weather Network.
The rain continues into Sunday with an additional two to six mm expected throughout the day. Wind gusts up to 49 km/h are also forecast.
Sunday is cooler with a high of 14 C and a low down to 4 C in the evening.
