One of the biggest winter celebrations of the year is coming back to Canada’s Wonderland.
WinterFest begins this weekend, and it’s bringing all kinds of frozen festivities together at one of the most popular theme parks in the area.
The festival will include over 40 attractions like live performances, rides, themed areas and festive food. There will also be nightly tree lighting ceremonies of two 50-foot trees decorated with thousands of lights and ornaments, and there will be millions of lights throughout the park.
Over 20 rides will be available to ride during WinterFest, including Thunder Run, Klockwerks, Psyclone and Sledge Hammer, as well as children’s rides in Charlie Brown’s Christmas Town.
Of course, no winter festival is complete without a holiday market, and WinterFest will have one with local vendors selling food and gifts.
Live performances will include Tinker’s Toy Factory with music and acrobatics, Cool Yule Christmas with Christmas pop covers and Four Drummers Drumming who drum familiar favourites in toy soldier costumes.
“Get ready for the biggest, brightest holiday experience around,” said Phil Liggett, general manager.
“WinterFest is a feel-good event for guests of all ages and brings the magic of the season to life. If you haven’t had a chance to see it, this is Canada’s Wonderland like you’ve never seen it before.”
WinterFest will run select dates from Nov. 16 to Jan. 4, with tickets starting at $29.99.
