You can enjoy free movies and gaming across Ontario and the country on one very special day this week.
Cineplex Community Day is a charitable event that includes free movies, gaming and $3 concessions at theatres and other venues.
Funds raised through the event are donated to BGC Canada (formerly Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada) which creates opportunities and new experiences for youth. $1 from every concession order and XSCAPE Play Card purchase from the
entire day will go towards the cause.
Family-friendly Community Day movies are Paw Patrol: The Movie, Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 and Everything Everywhere All At Once. Tickets can be reserved in advance online on a first come, first served basis with a limit of six tickets per person.
Community Day will also be in effect at Rec Room and Playdium locations. They’ll be offering free non-redemption gaming with each guest receiving a one-hour game band upon entry.
“Last year’s Cineplex Community Day was an incredible success, and we are thrilled to carry on the tradition of offering movies and play that create memories and special moments for our guests and their families and friends nationwide,” said Ellis Jacob, President and CEO, Cineplex.
“As the country’s top entertainment destination, we are proud the money raised makes a tangible difference in the lives of our nation’s youth and a true impact on communities across Canada.”
Cineplex Community Day takes place on Sept. 14 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
